Desktop blog publishing software for the Mac

Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008

I’ve been looking for a desktop blog publishing software for the mac. Anyone has any good recommendations?

Preferably something that can handle images minimally - allowing me to choose if I want to upload images via the blog, or FTP, etc. Of course, the standard features must be there such as category choosing, the ability to add hyperlinks, formatting, etc.

I’m currently using Post2Blog - a desktop blogging client for Windows. It’s good, but no longer supported. And I need one for the Mac platform.

Anyone who knows please let me know! :D

HomeSpace.sg for property listings!

Monday, September 10th, 2007

A friend of mine just launched HomeSpace.sg.It’s really promising!

HomeSpace.sg provides a powerful and intuitive graphical map interface that showcases not only properties listed for sale, but also amenities in the vicinity such as MRT stations, bus interchanges, schools and shopping centres. Home buyers are also able to streamline their searches according to their desired price range, property type, floor area and even number of rooms.

Unlike other online real estate search engines currently serving the Singapore market, HomeSpace.sg boasts a clean and uncluttered visual interface, ridding its website of unnecessary links, advertisements, news and information that are commonly found in other websites. It is the sole aim of The Real Group to provide home buyers with an easy-to-use “no-nonsense” platform to get their tasks done as quickly and easily as possible without any detractors.

HomeSpace.sg also features a Clientele Managerâ„¢ and Agent Portfolioâ„¢ features which cater to real estate agents. The Clientele Manager feature enables an agent to add, edit and view clientele and their property preferences online, empowering them to access their client information from any computer. Their Portfolio automatically synchronizes with their listings on HomeSpace and showcases their property portfolio on a personal professional webpage, dramatically reducing barriers for agents to go online.

I’d say go check it out… esp if you are a property agent!

830-point Scrabble

Friday, October 27th, 2006

Goodness! How many times have you played Scrabble and gotten a score above 400 points? Not me, never. Ok, so i suck. Haha. But the world record for the past 13 years has been 770, and apparently no one has even come close. And suddenly, a carpenter and his opponent, a supermarket deli counter staff, has broken not 1, not 2, but 3 records in Scrabble history in a single club game!

Most points scored by an individual (830), most points in a single game (1,320), and most points made in a single move (365). Most details in the original story.

Haha, don’t look down on carpenters now, remember the one that came 2006 years ago! ;)

PC users, you have to check these reliability reports out!

You can’t just look at the initial price when buying a laptop… Sometimes, you end up paying more anyway. Plus, the iBooks are really cheap now :)

Pursuing a dream…

Tuesday, October 3rd, 2006

Some of my closer friends know I’m in the middle of pursuing a dream. I want to travel the world. But then again, who doesn’t? ;)

I have a specific first goal to hit - to travel around Southeast Asia… on a touring bike. This will probably be, say, 2 or 3 years later? Right now I’m getting my basic motorbike license. Hopefully in 2 years, I’ll have progressed from a class 2B to a class 2A and then a class 2.

I just came by this website on riding around the Golden Triangle by David Unkovich, an Australian who now lives in Thailand. He’s the Golden Triangle rider! Another inspiration :)

Anyone wants to join me?

The Miniature Earth

Thursday, September 14th, 2006

What if Earth was shrunk down to 100 people, while keeping the same proportions of religion, ethnicity, wealth, etc, that we have today?

This is definitely worth 5 minutes of your time. The Miniature Earth.

(really, I’m just trying to earn some karma points)
