Just as you thought life sucks…

Tuesday, August 19th, 2008

God comes along and gives you a double whammy, just so you wake up real good.

And I put it as my wallpaper, so that I am reminded of what I want, what i have to do, and how badly I want and need to achieve it!

Like they say, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. But I’m going to go one step further and sell the lemonade business.

Proverbs 23:7

As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.

Polyphasic sleep

Saturday, May 5th, 2007

What if I told you that 99% of people in this world suffer from a harmless condition that made them sleep 5 hours more than necessary every day? Or what about if I told you that you could be just as energetic, just as productive as someone who slept 10 hours a day by just sleeping only THREE (3) hours a day?

Sounds bizarre? Sure does to me. But seems like it’s true, as many bloggers such as tes from kuro5hin and Steve Pavlina would testify. And it’s something that’s got me seriously excited! I want to try this, for curiosity if not nothing. I’m going to have to try to find 2 weeks free time for this…

IQ not a bet for Financial Intelligence

Thursday, April 26th, 2007

Apparently, people with high IQ are just as stupid (or as smart) with people with average IQ when it comes to keeping their money despite earning a lot more…

Barriers…

Amazingly true when i look back in hindsight from this perspective. Congratulations to all those who have broken their barriers.

It’s 2007! Something to share…

Saturday, January 6th, 2007

And yes, it’s a little late, but I wanted it to be after everyone was more sober after the crazy celebrations that happened in the first few days. The days of partying, new year resolutions and breaking of new years resolutions (especially if no alcohol is one of those resolutions, like a friend of mine).

Of memories both good and bad…

Saturday, January 6th, 2007

People become stronger because they have memories they can’t forget… this is growth.

Never again will I give up my memories, for they are mine, and they are but history.

Being in touch with your emotions can be a good thing.

First toastmasters event

Saturday, November 11th, 2006

I just came back from my first toastmasters event. Went for the NUS Alumni Toastmasters Club held at SMU. Quite an eye-opener. I think I like it. I feel like I need to overcome my initial fear of public speaking, so this is kind of it.

Membership fees are a little steep, at $250 a year. Well, I don’t have time from now till end of the year anyway, so when i start working next year, I probably will. :)

For those interested to find out more about public speaking, you can visit Eric Feng’s blog on public speaking. Eric’s the nice guy that brought me along to this event, and he’s a great speaker and really humourous, too.
